no. its a pretty bottem of the line system. much like anything you buy at Circut City and Best Buy. if you want a "pretty good system" your going to have to go out to a private audio shop. one that sells some of the following brands.Kenwood Excelon
Boston Acoustics
Image Dynamics
Pioneer Premier
Diamond Audio
MB Quart
take some time to listen to this stuff. then if you still like the Sonys, by all means pick them up. shopping around is the only way to know if what your planning on getting is good or not.

I have dealt with sony explode subs but not amps. I dont know anything about there amps, but I would not recomend the subs. If you want good subs go with MTX, they will last longer and sound far better.How do i put the code in my ford escort radio?
sony xplods suckI have the Sony 1200 watts (200 watts RMS X 2 @ 4 ohm) running two 600 watt (200 watt RMS 4 ohm) Blaupunkt subs with awsome results. You'll be fine.

Don't even think Sony, if you want quality look for DLS, very expensive but great, sony is only marketing but in sound quality , absolut garbage, and yes Xplode was my first system, what a waste of money.More Questions & Answers ...
