How do i hook up a 4 channel amp to 2 speakers because i dont get it?
For SQ(Sound Quality) Image dynamics IDQ, Rainbow Reference, CDT ES, Focal Utopia, Eclipse titanium is decent, Boston acoustics G5 is ok, Adire Koda, Diamond D9, Treo TSi and there are many others. For SQ the enclosure and placement is as important as the driver itself.
*edit* which exact amp and what exact speakers, and are you intending to keep the amp? Personally I like a monoblock amp(1 channel) for subs, but two channel will work fine, even a 4 channel when bridged will work fine. Hell I've even seen some psychos use one amp per coil on a 4 coil sub, just make sure that all channels are putting out the same signal if you want to use a multichannel amp, there is no need for stereo separation for subs.
How much should I pay someone to install speakers in my car?
A properly designed box will give you some serious added thump. When I was into big DB I had a pair of solobaric L7s(when they first came out and were still black) and a ZX1000 on each sub and it hit ok in 1.5ft^3 but when I changed to a 3.27ft^3 for each sub shared port enclosure tuned to 38hz it was ungodly. It hit so hard that within 10 minutes of playing my mirror snapped off in the middle of the stalk, a tiny rock chip in my windshield walked all the way across the window then spidered in every direction. After having the window fixed and a few tweaks here and there my system went from a modest 143.2db with the sealed boxes to 151.8db with the massive shared port box at the DBDrags. With them in the sealed boxes I could almost tolerate full volume, in the ported monster enclosure I couldn't stand more than 30 seconds at full volume, it hit so hard it made my eyes wiggle. Granted it wasn't the most accurate thing around, but it did hit hard as hell.

i'd step out of Best Buy and Circut City if you looking for the best stuff to put in your car. judging by the fact that you had Rockford Punch in your trunk, i'm guessing that your not too worried about sound quality. you just want something that bumps. if i were you i'd check out these brands.Looking to get some more mid-bass in my truck?
