I heard RF was the best or at least very nice, but I have been getting mixed reviews. Someone told me that they wouldn't buy RF if it was the cheapest amp and that I could get a different amp that has a lot better quality for around the same price... but I thought RF was top notch...

rf are good gfor spl..and the best part is rf delivers more than it states..if it says 2000rms ur surely to get 3000rms or more( that is tested) all there amps deliver more than it states.same for mtx amps and jl amps.
now for wofers i'll go with jl amps they are the best amps but they make only till 1000rms..now whay jl is good..or say BEST coz it delivers 1000 rms at voltage 11-14.4volts..the best part.u dont have to change ur battery ,even weak battery will drive the to there full potential..no body in this world using a jl amp will say smthin bad or soso abt jl..ask ne body and even professionals..they are costly but worth every penny..the best sq and woofer amps and highly eficient..then there are more but can u afford them??? if u have the money go for focal..rockford are good but i persnlally prefer other coz rockford are very soft..soft i mean woofers will sound great but not components .not best for mids and highs eevn if u adjust the passing filter..for highs and mids i prefer hifonics pretty cheap and best for mids and high..but not at all for subs.. now if u really wnat sq that is soundquality rather then impressin ppl and makin db numbers go for audison amps...the cleanest amp ever made by human in an affrodable range...there are even more xpensive but again can u afford them??audison leaves all amps rf..jl.mtx ..kicker.hifonics..visonic and many but they dont produce powerfrul amps only till 1500rms...the clenest amp i had eve heared..but limits one to small output...they are unbelievable smal..even 1500rms amp have dimensions like a 4 channel amp at 50rms per channel..smallest amps i had seen..really rellysmall..u can fix 4 amps under ur seat.. well i personlly suggest go for jl amps..if u dont believe me ask ppl using it or the installers and even on CarQnA.com..jl might restrict u to 1000rms but its 1000rms beats other amps rating 2000rms..
I need an amp!! how powerful does it need to be?
rockford WAS amazing. Now they are overpriced but they are not bad, this is one of the few companys in which CEA was a bad thing. I have an old amp that says it is 50 x 2 and it is more like 90. Right now, alpine makes good stuff, can't ever go wrong with kenwood, pioneer, kicker. If you are looking to save some money try phoenix gold. Heard good things. I would go to an mobile audio shop and listen to stuff. Inconclusion,Are these good speakers with this head unit?

everyone has their own preferences in audio.. as for myself I think JL , MTX and those other popular brands are hyped up. I think they are good but there are better. There is MB Quart , Eclipse and Cadence which is really good stuff and used alot for competitionsi would go with a lanzar, pheonix gold, kicker, jl, something thats quality. make sure its a class d amp or a competition grade if you want the best sound quality
