hey iv been trying to connect a capacitor to my 2 12" subs and the light to let me know when the capcitor is charged kept going on and off and it only reached 14.2 so every time i would try and put the music my subs would just make a weird noise and everything would like slow down it felt as if the car was losing all its power and then regaining and so i smelled smoke, took out the sub out of the box and 1 of my 12's was fried i dunno wut the hell i did wrong can sum1 help please...thanks

You most likely didn't have the cap wired right or the sub. The cap needs to be wired in parallel with the amps power.Kicker Quality, L7's poor quality?
The fact that it reached 14 volts is not surprising since that's what the alternator would supply.
