u need to find the rms of the subs, max dont matter. subs can say 500000 watts max but only be 300 watts rms

well it depends on how much of that power you want to use and also keep in mind you will need a good battery like an optima yellow top. also you will need a capacitor so that when your system is bumpin your headlights dont turn into a stroble light from the constan t battery drainage. i am a huge fan of jl audio i think their slash series 1000watt amps are unbeleivable. they pump out raw power. but there are many brands out there . like amps usa power acoustik kicker alpine clarion mtx rockford. out of all though id prefer jl for the crispness of the bass. you can crank them up and the bass doesnt get distorted. . also with speakers of that power id buy the warranty because youll probably go through some amps if you go competion
