most likely, your stock system already has a amp installed for the speakers that are there. 90% if not all new stock systems are built this way, all you have to do is get the right RF modulator to drop the watts from your stereo down to e acceptable y your car. Cructhfeld.com can help you there, you don;t have to buy from tehm, ut you should be ale to figure out exactly what you need, it;s possible i generic unit that you can buy ar wal-mart will work fine. once you have your Rf modulator then you can use any dvd unit you want. now for the subs, if your not putting in a completely redoing the entire system ( replace all the speakers) then i would look at a MTX su and amp combo kit, comes with the box, subs, and amp. you can wire it two ways, pull the signal off the rca out puts on the dvd player, or tap into your rear speakers and use the amps High inputs. so to summerize: Rf modulator, your choice of DVD player, and MTX ( or like product) sub combo the wattage is your choice, 200 per sub would be a nice personal system where 800 watts would rock the block.How do i bypass the parking brake safety on a in dash dvd player?
For just the subs or all the speakers? I'm assuming you're just referring to the subs because your speakers must all ready be powered so you can probably just leave them be (must be a good system if you have 10 speakers in one car, jesus).Anyway, it all depends on what you want. If you want power that you can bump and people can hear you across the neighborhood, at least 600 watts per sub (port it). If you want it to blend in with the music and just sound nice, put it in a sealed box and give each sub around 200-300 watts (could even go lower). It really depends on the subs though.
