The procedure to install a new aerial is going to depend on a few things such as is this replacing a broken one or new installation? Is it a power aerial? Where on the car are you planning on installing the aerial? The easiest installation would be replacement of a regular (non powered) aerial that is mounted in the front fender of your car. The hole to mount the aerial will then already be there as well as the hole to get the cable into the interior of the car. The most difficult would probably be installing a new powered aerial in the rear of the car which would then entail drilling the mounting hole, running power back to the new aerial, and getting the cable from the aerial all the way up front to the radio. Your options and degree of difficulty could be anywhere in between depending on your particular circumstances. For a new aerial installation a magnetic mount would be the easiest as one other person pointed out! Good luck.
