Car audio question?

Question:
I was wondering what I need to hook up a for channel amplifier? I already have amplifier installation kit for my mono block amp that powers my subwoofer. As far as I know I need a set a for channel RCA wires, speaker wire, some extra power wire, and a distribution block. Is there anything else I need to hook up my for channel amplifier? I remember hearing something about some other kind of wiring that is necessary. Remote turn on wiring or something like that. if I am using 0 gauge wiring for my sub amp and would like to use 4 gauge for my for channel amp, what kind of distribution block would I need? I was going to get the stinger Pro distribution block that has two 0 gauge imports and three 4 gauge out ports would this work? Also if I buy a cooling fan to put in my trunk what does that hook up to?

I have a Audiobahn AW1000V with dual voice coils how would i turn that into 2 ohm instead of 4?

Basically you have everything you need to hook up your amp. Still I would recommend installing a capacitor (1.5F) on one of the outputs to prevent damage into your alternator or battery otherwise you'll be buying it on a few months. For the fan connection you should wire it to the remote wire of the amps that way the fan will work only when the amps are on. If you decide to connect it to the outputs of the power block it wil be always working unless you connect a switch somewhere on the wire.

Why does one of my car speakers turn off when i go over a speedbump?

Wow, ok first, you will most likely need the remote line which should be on the other amp, you should be able to tap/daisy chain the new one to the old. It is a 12v line that turns on a relay in the amp to power it up. 0 guage is a lot of power, and yes the splitter you speak of should be fine. 0 in 4 out. If you have 3 outputs on the block, you should be fine adding a fan to the 3rd output. 0guage can run a lot of current assuming your fuses/ connections are solid.

Adding Subwoofer to amp?

dont hook up your fan to the block
you either connect the positive to the remote turn on or
put a switch in the dash running to the fan so you can turn it on when you want you dont want them to run 24/7

Can you give me advice on upgrading my audio system in my car?

You have got it down.
You will need a relay for the extra amp and the fan. Pulling too much current from your radios' remote turn-on lead will make it stop working. Usually radios' remote wire are only good for up to .7 amps -it would kill it to power a fan, too. Using it for 2 amps is fine, but the fan will make it stop working.
You can use a switch for the fan like someone else stated but will need a relay if you want you use your remote wire for its' power. I am currently making a relay for all my accesories to run off my remote wire.
You can get the diagram for this relay (very easy to make) at www.the12volt.com.

How do i set the time on my Alpine car CD Receiver.?

Also, DO NOT add a capacitor. Extra batts. and caps. (unless you've done an alt. upgrade) will put more strain on your alt. -as they are just more things it's gotta charge. -Caps take 5 times the amount of time to recharge that it does to discharge, so they really don't help (unless, like I said before, your alt. is up to the task).

Does anyone know how to install a cd player in a 03 chevy malibu?

Here's what you do if your headlights are dimming:
Do the Big3 Upgrade (power -charge- wire from alt. straight to battery, ground from batt. to car frame, and ground from frame (same place) to engine block) all in 4g or larger (the bigger, the better) wire.
This will do what caps are sold for (and don't do).
Remember, your system can ONLY use power that's being made by your alt. To not do the Big3 Upgrade, the factory charge wire (very small) doesn't allow power to effectively get to your batt. (where it's needed) from alt.
