How do you remove a a stuck cd from a car radio/cd player?

I have a blaupunt santa cruz with a cd stuck inside, iI can hear the mechanism moving but nothing comes out any ideas ?

Ohh man. really the only way to safely remove it is to open it up and get the cd out. Dont try to take it out with a scredrivr or anything like that. you are only going to mess it up. Make sure you put all screws back ! lol !

is there a very small hole near the opening anywhere? just like in computer drives, there is normally a manual force eject hole that allows you to insert something like a paper clip wire into it and release the mechanism. look at your PC, can you see it near or under your CD/DVD Rom?

there will be a manual eject mechanism either in the front of the unit or side - you'll need something like a straightened out paper clip to shove through the hole to activate the mechanism - make sure the unit is powered down though as you can damage the loading servos if you activate the manual mechanism and the servos are powered

the hole will be a tiny little hole in the front or side of the unit so you'll probably need to remove the unit completey from the dash.
