If i run a 4 sub set up would i need subs that are 2 ohm or 4 ohm to get a 1 ohm load?

Four subs with 4 ohm impedance each and all wired in parallel will give you a 1 ohm load.

Just be aware each sub needs to be 1/4 the watts RMS of the amp at a 1 ohm load.

depends on how you have it set up. If you have one sub on each channel, then you would need dual 2 ohm voice coil subs running in parallel.

also, make sure your amp is actually 1 ohm stable. very few actually are. many companies claim they are but they just blatantly arent.

if ur running a mono amp and single voicecoil subs then run 4ohm subs like this
