How to controll subwoofer bass level.?

Question:
Im hooking up a sub and an amp in my car and i was wondering how do you control the level of the bass of the sub. some songs just dont sound good with a lot of bass and i dont want to turn the whole cars bass down on the actual radio. i think they make knobs to control it and how to you wire a knob into the system.

Can you wire a 4 ohm sub to play at 2 ohms?

You answered your own question and gave a new easier one. There are 2 ways. 1, an equalizer. and 2, a bass remote my bass remote only boosts the bass, it doesn't turn it down, cant say for all brands though. You should be able to use your bass setting on your head unit to turn it down to the level you like. You sub is being given a signal by the head unit so any changes on the headunit eq will be played on the sub.

Bazooka tubes?

your best bet would be to get an amplifier with a bass adjust knob already wired in. I dont know if its even possible to wire up an adjuster.

Having trouble with my subs and amp.?

Which frequency is best for using a Belkin radio tuned in Suffolk/East Anglia?

Your better off getting a cd player that has a digital bass volume control & Eq. Then you don't have to worry about mounting a seperate control or buying a new amp. Brands like Alpine, clarion pro, eclipse, some kenwoods & pioneer, have the bass controls on them. You can find cd-players like these at www.sounddomain.com, www.crutchfield.com, www.millionbuy.com. look for the words bass control.

Which is better? Capacitor or 2nd Battery?

for this to happen, the sub amp must be wired to the subwoofer output on the cd-player.

Where are american legacy amps made??

You can buy a head unit with separate pre-amps for the subwoofer and control it from there. If not that, than you can have a crossover or equalizer with a remote bass control between the HU and amp. If not that, than you can buy an amp with a remote level control. You could also switch the remote wire to the amp that would allow you to shut the amp off completely.
