2 component speakers up front
3 2 or 3way speakers in the back depending on what size u have. and i would go with speakers that can handle at least 80rms both front and rear
4 4channel amp that gets around the same rms as your speakers, so 80-100rms
5 subs depend on what you listen to. if you like a lot of bass music like rap go with 12's if you want something with a little less bass go with 10s
6 get a mono amp that pushes around the same rms and your subs. (if you have 1 12 thats 500rms get a 500rms amp, if you have 2 12s 500rms each get a 1000rms amp)
7 high output battery like an optima
8 use good wires, dont get a cheap amp wiring kit, ull regret it when you here noise from your speakers lol

Ok. Money first. If you have about a grand great. Many options to choose from. First the radio itself. Make sure it can play back CD-R's, that way you can listen to all your music you make yourself with your computer. If you can get one that plays MP3's or WMA's even better or some let you directly connect an MP3 player. Second: Choice of speakers. How many does your car have? Replace them all with premium grade speakers. SONY, KENNWOOD, ect. Also include a subwoofer to complete this setup. Three: Power. Make sure you get an amplifier that will handle ALL the speakers in you car including the subwoofer. Four: Installation. Make sure you go to a reputable shop and have them install your system. You'll save alot getting the components yourself and having them install them. Also make sure your battery is willing to handle the extra drain. You might want to get a new one if it's real old. If I had no money issue...then I would run two 12" JL Audio W7 in a ported Q-Logic Box powered by two 1000/1 JL Audio Mono amps running the Infinity Kappa Perfect 6 components powered by either the JL Audio 300/4 amp or the Infinity 4channel 111rms amp. If you have 6x9 then the Infinity 3way Reference is a good choice. All there ran by the best Monster cables and 0 Gauge. Optimal battery would be used and a battery cap or 3 farad capacitor.
