I think you're talking about the Opti 4000D. That amp will really push 4000 watts at 1 ohm. It is as good in quality as almost any brand you can buy in your local car stereo shop. The opti line are on a level playing field with everything from Eclipse to Rockford Fosgate Power series in terms of quality. Opti amps do produce what they claim.

Power Acoustik is not my personal favorite for woofers. They also make a good quality product. The only way they are inferior to what you buy at your local stereo shop is in terms of marketing. They do not spend millions of dollars on advertising as many "big name" brands do so their products are less expensive.

I believe your fubr-12's are only rated for 800w rms. Way too much power! If you want to run 2 fubr-12's get the HTG2600D, or VIBE1800D. Both will produce about 1200 watts @ 1 ohm. If you are careful, you can probably get the OPTI2000D (1600w) or any of the smaller class D amps they sell.

Avoid the VIBE3100D it is also too big for those woofers. It puts out about 2000 watts rms @ 1 ohm.

I don't know first hand how sturdy the fubr woofers are. some subs will do ok with a bit more than rated power, but some will not. I used to have an IDQ rated at 350 rms hooked up to a 600 watt amp and it sounded great and handled the power well for a very long time. I also had a woofer rated at 500 watts rms that smelled like the voice coil was on the way out after a few days of clean power from the same amp. no distortion or clipping.

The box you put the woofer in will determine how much power it will take to get peak output from the woofer. It does not always take the maximum rms rated power. Even if the subs can handle more than 800w rms, the little bit more you could apply will only increase the out put slightly if at all.
