Wiring from my amp too subwolfers?

Question:
I have a eclipse EA4000 for my front and rear speakers and a Kicker KX400.2 for my 2 sony 10" wolfers. Is there any specific way that I should have my wiring front my kicker amp to my subwolfers. currently I just have it 2 negs too negs and pos's to pos.

there are two different ways to wire your subs. i have this site and it will show you a diagram that will make it really basic and simple. http://spkrbox1.spaces.live.com/... just over half way down there are three pictures and it will show you how to do it. it depends on how your setup is.

There are many ways to hook up subs to an amp. it all depend on the products. to give you a complete answer i would need to know if the subs are single or dual voice coil and what is their ohm load. plus what is the RMS and max on the subs. the way you have it now you are running anywhere between 100 and 200 watts RMS with a MAX of maybe 400 per sub. if the subs are higher end Sony's then you are not getting anywhere the power that you need. you would need a larger amp
