Question:
I have six speaker grills in my saab two on the dash two in the front doors and two on the hatch. four speakers work the ones in the doors have no sound now I believe theres no speakers in the doors just the grills because the model didn't come with them but saved money on production by keeping the grills there am I wrong?
Answers:
Which has better SQ out of these?? RF, Kicker, RE?
the two speaker on the door are not regular speakersthey are bass drivers small midbass you can not hear them but if you put your hand there you can feel them
if they don't play you can replace them or check the fuses for the factory amplifer
Call your local Saab dealership, ask to talk to someone in the parts deprtment and ask them. They can check the catalogs right then and tell you.
Also, if the grills in the dash are small (between 1 1/2 - 2") then it's a tweeter (for treble - high frequencies) and there would have to be woofers (for bass - low freq.'s) in the doors. In that case if you wanted to upgrade to aftermarket speakers you would need either a component set (separate woofers and tweeters) or a single co-axial (2 way) speaker (in that case don't use the factory tweeter, only use the co-axial as this would cause not-too-good sound quality.
Opinion question. one fifteen vs two twelves?
Good Luck
