Question:
I am trying to surprise my husband for xmas. I know he wants to replace his (2) 12"s with (4) 10"s. He has a 600 watt amp now and I want to know if that will also work with the new ones. I just researched speakers and found out I know less about them than I thought. Any information would be great.
Answers:
i just bought a flip out dvd xdvd8181, need help hooking it up to play movies as i drive?
600 WATT AMP SHOULD BE FINEBUT 1000 WATTS WOULD BE EVEN BETTER
Hey there...you are going to need more power. The old amp is going to be just fine, but he's going to need another one. Try to buy the same one that he already has if possible. It always looks better when you have all of the same equipment.
Wish I had a wife like you!
Will these amps power these subs fully ?
a 200 watt RMS amp will do the job fine. That being saida 600watt amp is plenty , but you need to see how many ounce magnet is driving the speaker . the bigger the magnet the higher the wattage that is needed to drive the speaker
OMG...Are you guys serious? Please provide the rms wattage per speakers so we can actually tell you the amp you need. Don't listen to any of the suggestions beacuse you never even told them the power handling per sub. Provide that info and you will get a real response.
