The power cuts out during the hard bass hits??

Question:
I have a probelm with the power being cut to my sub when the bass hits really hard. It dosen't do this when the volume is lower.everything is wired study and correctly i'm at a loss here?
I'm running
2awg power wire to a kenwood amp kAC-9152D at 2 ohms for about 900 RMS. Its hooked up to a single 12' alpine 1242d with a 1 farad capacitor. The alpine sub handles 500w rms with a 1500 watt peak.

What is better to run (amp question)?

I had this problem with my last system too that was a JL 500/1 hooked to a real big power acoustic sub. that sub got fried tho.

Your impedence level looks correct going to the amp, so that isn't an issue. If you had this problem with your last system, was it in the same car? Maybe the problem is with your car. Not your car as a whole, but the charging system and power supply to the amp.

Did you upgrade the wiring from the alternator to battery+, chassis to battery-? Did you use the same ground as your last system, is it sufficent? Is your alternator in tip-top shape?

#1 problem that causes this - your ground. Check and recheck it... where you have it mounted my not be a perfect ground or it may have some rust/corrosion/etc. If needed, remove the ground, sand the area and even get a new bolt if you are using a factory bolt.
