Connecting my speakers to my amp?

Question:
So i have a pair of 6x9s that I am putting it the back of my 95 honda acord and i have a 900 watt 4 channel amp that i want to wire them 2 ( i am also getting 2 more speakers for my front doors). Now my cousins bf hooked up 4 rockford fosgate speakers to the same amp i am useing so i know it can be done. Can i just run speaker wires for my speakers to the positive and negitive on my amp? How do i know what it the positive and negitive on the speaker if its no labeled? If some could draw a diagram or a picture that would be awesome.

normaly if its not labled on the speaker then the fat contact is positive while the thin one is negative. id check google or somethin to be sure

My car speakers dont work?

Usually red is positive and black is negative. Connected within the wiring harness they are: Gray - Right Front Speaker Positive, Gray/Black - Right Front Speaker Negative, Green - Left Rear Speaker Positive, Green/Black - Left Rear Speaker Negative, Violet - Right Rear Speaker Positive, Violet/Black - Right Rear Speaker Negative, White - Left Front Speaker Positive, White/Black - Left Front Speaker Negative. Do you have a aftermarket radio? If not you may need an adaptor to create the proper inferface. Hope that helped some.
