You're gonna need an amp that puts out about the rms rating of your woofers at that particular impedance.
If you have a 4Ohm, 500watt rms sub you'll need an amp that puts out 500wrms @4Ohms.
2Ohm, 500wrms sub, a 500wrms @2Ohm amp.
You can go more or less than your subs rms power. Try to keep them about the same, just to be efficient.
