Question:
I just got a JBL GTO755.6 II Amplifier for my 02 Grand Cherokee. I have all the appropriate wires, a Pioneer DEHP7700MP head unit, and a Visonik 123bp subwoofer. First thing I'm curious about is where to put the amp and how to wire it from the head unit, frame, battery, etc. Can someone help get me going? Thanks

Battery wire goes under the paneling of the car (pops out) all the way up and through the opening where most of the wires enter under the hood. Wire that into your fuse and the wire coming out will screw to the positive (red) battery post. Grounding is routing the cable to a bare piece of metal (chassis) on the car usually under the back seat make sure it is screwed in tight so it wont come lose either. Ok next the remote wire (blue wire) will be routed to the head unit (underneath paneling like the battery wire) to either the ignition wire (red) or radio (difference is when when it is wired to the ignition the amplifiers will turn on when the car is cranked up and if it wired to the radio it will be on only when the radio is on). Next signal cables go to the radio as well and usually plug in to the back of the radio (sub-out usually). Speaker wires, positive and negative of course go to the subwoofers. A place that is common for the amplifier is usually mounted behind the backseat to hide wires prevent accidental shock etc... I would explain more but I am not very familiar with the interior of a grand cherokee... You can email me if you any more questions.
