How can I connect my Garmin GPS to my car stereo so it interrupts my music when it says a command?

Question:
I want to connect my Garmin Nuvi 360 to my Mazda 6 car stero. I know how to connect it via an FM modulator, but can I make it so it will interrupt what I am listening to in order to state the commands (not over the music)? Any thoughts?

Answers:

Back left brake light now working after a radio/speaker installation?

No, but you can play MP3 files through the car stereo from the Garmin Nuvi if you use a cassette adapter.

Do 2007 Kia factory cd players support MP3/WMA cds?

Download your MP3 audio files to the Garmin and play them while you're driving. The Garmin will interrupt the music when it needs to state a command. Use a cassette adapter (they usually come with CD players) and hook it up through the headphone jack and to your cassette player so you can hear the Garmin through the car's stereo!

I need a Wiring diagram for Jensen cd4610 deck?

Unless your stock system has a mute function in the wiring setup...doubt it would work. Some after market head units have a mute wire for connection to a cell phone. When the phone rings, your system mutes. Not sure if Garmin provides this sort of output either. The FM modulated setup just puts the voice into your radio when it speaks.

How do you bypass the e-brake wire on the jensen touch screen head unit?

I would contact Garmin tech support for more options.
