Question:
I currently own the PowerAcoustik 1920 watt amp ( http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6195... ). I was running two Audiobahn subs with 550 rms power handling to them, but the subs are starting to pop everytime the bass hits. So I am going to change subs. I am wondering how ell my current amp will go along with two Audiobahn AW1200V subs ( http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_7039... ). If i get those subs then i will put them each in a 3.3 cubic feet vented box. I guess my real question is concerning if i have enough power from my amp (rms wise) to push these subs and make them sound good.

How can i use the aux input in my scion to play my ipod?
The problem sounds like the amplifier is sending a clipped signal to the subwoofers. That amplifier doesn't even come close to meeting the RMS rating of the subwoofers. Properly adjust the gains first.I'm really in need of a car stereo expert !!?
EDIT
As I said, you are already under powering your current subs. Switching to subs with a higher power handling won't really be beneficial. Are your subs partially blown? press down on the cone and see if they make a scratching sound - it they do, then yeah, its probably the subs.

Your amp is junk, it's one of the cheapest you can buy. Get a new amp before your spend more money on subs - they may not even be blown.More Questions & Answers ...
