CAn someone tell me if the "inop" code on my monsoon stereo can be fixed?

I have a 98 trans am and i tried entering the codes after the battery died and now it says " inop" . Anything I can do?

Go to Fbody.com, camarolinks.com,camaroforums.c... , web.camaross.com, and z28.com and do a search there for that exact thing. Theres also many other Camaro and Firebird websites that have these instructions in their forums. They have many many posts on how to get around it. Theres a combination of buttons you can push to bring up a set of numbers that you can use to call your local GM dealer and they can usually give you a master code to unlock it. Some dealers wont just hand out the master code but there is a 1 800 number on those sites that is like an automated dealer line you can also enter those numbers in and get an unlock code. Also SOME, but very few, dealers will give you the code free if you take the car up there and show proof of ownership(insurance, registration papers) but most usually charge so try those sites and call the 800 number.
