I had a loose wire on my car stero which I reconnected, but...?

Question:
as soon as the connection was made the stero kicked on playing a cd right where it left off when it died. But now none of the buttons work - it wont' turn off, the volume will not go down, I can't change the track - nothing. What is happening and how do I fix it?

Answers:

Why don't the buttons on my faceplate respond?

MAKE SURE YOU DID NOT CROSS THE WIRES

How do i remove the car stereo on a 93 renault clio?

You may have to re-enter the radio code. This is sometime in the user manual. You may also have to remove the radio to access the serial number of the radio and then call the dealer with this number and the vin number of the car. They will give you the code.

what does this mean? "2x250W RMS at 2 Ohms"?

You may have to re-enter the radio code

but im sure that the one you hooked up make a short so unhook it and unplugg the radio so i t will reset itself
