Decibel is a unit of noise level, Watt is a unit of power. Your question, therefore, makes not sense.
For the bassheads, What song/album rattles like two midgets fighting in the trunk?
db, or Decibel is a ratio expressed in log. As this is a ratio, it does not have a unit. Therefore, it is not possible to convert 1000 watts where watt is a unit into db.what size speakers do i need to fit my car?
However, if you meant dbm which is a ratio of power to 1 milliwatt, (as commonly used in radio work), then 1000 watts would be 60dbm.
where can I buy subwoofer boxes for a '97 silverado reg cab?
It all depends on how efficient your speakers are, that will determine how loud your speakers sound for a given amount of power. But a major caution is that as a thumb rule, more efficient speaker have poorer sound quality. Most high end speakers have a lower efficiency and therefore take more power, but sound much better.SAT Radio Ready, What else do I need for Sirius Radio?
A key note. It takes 10 times the power to double the sound level.
HEy man not try to bust your bubble or anything but your question makes no sense becasue its now measured by watts its measured my sound so it will matter what your running off ur amp and how loud you turn it up to like i have 6 15'' kicker L7s in my jimmy and 6 2,500 watt amplifiers and it reaches 166.7 decibles so dont let any one tell you its to much for your hearing becasue the only thing that would be to much for your hearing is sitting in my car while the stereo is turned up to 17 lol.....
