What is best radio I can buy for my car ? I have a new vw and want a nice sound system Ive heard that they?

1-the black wire it's ground (negative)
2-red wire is positive (+) connect it to a wire that has voltage every time you turn the ignition on ,(that way when you turn the ignition off the stereo will shut off also)
3-the yellow wire is positive also (+) and is your stereo's memory connect it to a wire that always have voltage even if you turn the ignition off that way the time clock and your favorite stations won't be erased every time you turn your stereo off (you can connect it to the positive wire that goes to the back of your cigarrett lighter this wire has voltage all the time even with the ignition off)
NOTE-never connect the red and yellow wires together it won't damage your stereo but if you connect them to a positive (+)
wire that has voltage even with the ignition off your stereo won't shut off when you turn your ignition off.
if you connect red and yellow together to a wire that has voltage (+) only when you turn your ignition on your stereo will erase the time clock and your favorite stations every time you turn your ignition off.
THAT'S WHY YOU CAN'T CONNECT THEM TOGETHER!
good luck with task and let me know if you have more questions

Can anyone tell me how to install speakers in Ford Escape?

black is usually ground, red if seperate from the plug may be constant 12 volts for memory and clock and yellow usually goes to a power antenna which you probably dont have

i would take it to a mechanic or someone who knows how to install these kinda things.

I need an MP3 player for my car stereo?

If you dont know what those wires are, you probably shouldnt be installing the stereo yourself, sorry, you can cause a lot of damage hooking stuff up wrong, esp with all the computerized stuff in the newer cars. The red is power (switched power), yellow is memory (constant power) and the black is ground and all should be in the wired in the harness also.

how much does it cost to decode a kenwood kvt-911?

black goes to ground..this is the negative of your battery. red goes to always on...the positive of your battery.......and yellow goes to your ignition..this makes it so that your sterio will turn off when you turn your car off..if you connect the red and yellow like you were told...you will either have to turn it off everytime you leave your car or none of your presets will save memory (depending on where you connect them)

How can I make my old escort radar detector work again without the security key it takes?

ok your harnes should have came with red yellow and black cables but whatever check it out you can connect the yellow and red together to the power source on the the harnest and the ground you can just attach it to any srew around the stere housing, as long as the srew is connected to the car cause your car is ground.
