Question:
my system has worked perfectly for a year but now its stopped.
i've change the main fuse, no avail.
the power cap is not activating and the amps are not switching on. there was a moment where the system was powering up but now the amps where not starting at all.
Does a farad capacitor help with not taking so much power out of the car battery?

15inch Kicker L7 or 15inch Kicker CVX??
Buy a cheap multimeter and check for power. I would suspect your remote turn on lead from your deck has failed at first glance, but you really need to check what is or isn't getting power.Which Ipod FM transmitter works best in Los Angeles?
maybe you have +12 volts and the porblem is the groundcheck all your grounds wires turn on the system and move the ground wire
maybe is just a lose connection to the chasis
I own an old Buick and would love to put a stereo system in...?
For one, they should all be earthed at the same location. I'm not saying this will cure the problem, but it may be the cause.I have 2 component speakers, 2 subs, 2 6x9's and 2 4's. i was wondering what amp/amps i should us?
Check the Ground Wire to see if it is still connected , next smell your amp to seeif you smell burnt in side of there .. also check the fuse conecting to the Battery Cable .Did you install everthing? No offense, it just doesn't seem you know what you're doing. If you don't (don't be shy), please take it somewhere where they do. That'll save you a burnt down car!
Good Luck!
