cutting and splicing the wires together, make sure you have the right cutting tools for wire, and a hot wire sleeve where you connect one wire to another, works best if you need more wire to connect the tweety wires to your normal speaker wire

They won't be 1000w, probably more like 75 - 100w RMS. You should have in-line crossovers, these filter out low notes such as mid & bass. Join the wires (after the crossovers) to the wires going into your door speakers.
