What is the typical highway RPM for 2001 5-spd Ford Escape?

Question:
I have a manual 5-speed 2001 Ford Escape (4 cylinder 2.0). Driving 65-70mph on interstate puts me in the 3000-3500 rpm range. Is this sustainable for a 14 hour drive to Florida? This vehicle is roomier than my other vehicle; however the high RPM’s concern me for that long of drive.

Im looking for some good web sites about the Nissan skyline in 2 Fast 2 Furious?

yeah, that seems a little high for 65 to 70 mph

Is there somewhere on the internet that i can find diagrams for my fuse panels on a 98 v6 mustang?

my cars around 65 to 70 are around 2600 to 2700 rpm

'98 Sebring Coupe making popping noise. Amplifier?

do u have it in fifth gear.

BMW wheel paint?

I don't know if that is the correct RPM or not, but if you have it in the right gear, which I'm sure you do, then I don't see how it wouldn't be right. As long as there is nothing wrong with the vehicle, then it's fine to drive that far. Four cylinders rev higher than 6 or 8s, but I wasn't aware that a 4 cylinder escape reved that high, especially being a 5 speed.

94 honda civic help me make it run faster and look better....any websites... ideas anyone?

Anyway, if nothing is wrong with the car, then you will have no problem, it was made that way for a reason. I know the gas mileage is good in those things. Good luck with your trip.
