i don't know from were come the legend of the bonnet on the Renault,it sounds very stupid. i have Renault's from 1986 until today.beginning with a 5, 2 Megan's and 3 Clio's, never had a problem and all of them very reliable and like all french cars,a pleasure to drive. Peugeot make good cars ,but the 106 is not the best of them.very Little inside,and not so friendly like Renault. if you want commodity,take a Renault, if you want qualiti at the cost of your back ,buy japan toguether with a quiropractic

I would go with the renault clio, if it's a 16 valve version of the engine it will be faster than the peugot and they are reliable engines. some people say theres not much difference between the two makes but i'd go for a renault any day. plus in an accident the clio (if a modern version, mark 2 upwards) would be alot safer than the peugot and scores more highly in european ncap safety tests ;-)
