Question:
should i keep the stock computer and TPI fuel injection or go for a carb?
Answers:
Is there a place online that I could find out where the rear shock tower is on my 05 Honda civic lx?
i have an 84 and it has no computer...go carb...without the computer..u can take crap out you dont really need in the engine compartment so if you really wanted to add more stuff, there will be more room. plus ur car will be lighter with crap you take out. :) its also easier to deal with ur engine without all the electircal stuff and/or computer specs if ur the type that can work without itChevrolet Impala late 1960s with retractable headlights?
Depending on your smog laws, I say ditch the computer. Those TPI motors were great at the time, but never mad big HP. TPI to carb swaps are common. Then you can get any intake manifold, carb, (distributor) you want. You already got the headers and cam, so your almost there to making more HP.How much could i get for a 1993 nissan hardbody?
I've yet to see a Tuned Port motor that was any fast.
If you have decent know how about cars, read up, or get a complete kit for Edelbrock you should have no problem. I know several people that have done this swap. If your are the one that put the cam in that car, it was half torn apart to begin with, and you should have no problem. Biggest problem probobly is the ingiton, but its not that hard.
go for it.
