After Running My built 5.0 For Awhile It Doesn't Want To Start?
There's a couple of different possibilities. If its a fuel filter problem, you'll hear the engine surging and choking. If the engine sounds regular then the fuel filter is probably not the problem. Fuel addidives are cheap so it couldn't hurt anyway. At 12 years old, if the shocks haven't been changed, that's probably your culprit. As you build speed, wind resistance pushes the frame back. The springs eventually bring it back forward but since the shocks may be worn out, the car begins to oscillate. I'd say fuel sloshing could also exagerate this but the Neon probably doesn't have a large enough tank for this to be a problem. Go out to the car and start rocking each corner like a pogo stick. If the fender gives you more than one bounce, the shocks are probably shot. Shocks aren't very expensive but some of the other suspension components can be so have the car checked out by a mechanic and decide whether its worth it to fix or replace the car.neons are dangerous cars my brother and sister died in 1 and it was a white 95 so be careful and trade it in

could be a fuel pump surging or a plugged fuel filter or even a problem with your clutch .. but I would try changing the fuel filter first .. if its dirty the fuel has a hard time getting into the carb and that will cause it to surge thus causing your rocking .. its like stepping on the throttle and letting off...I'm not sure where it is on the Neon .. some filters are in the gas line near the tank . some are under the hood of the car some are placed inside the carb between the fuel line and the carb body ..if you have fuel injection then also try runnig a bottle of injector cleaner through it but get a good brand of cleaner .. STP is one ...
