The easy way to correct this is, remove the timing chain. Turn the engine over by hand until the #1 cyl is at full throw. Then turn your distributer to the #1 firing position, the reinstall chain. You may need to make some minor adjustments, but this method usualy works for me.

Sounds like a timing problem. Are you sure you got the chain on right?

I have a 2003 jeep wrangler with a 1 inch body 2inch coil spring and a 4 inch suspension will 35 inch tiresfit

You didn't line up the 2 timing marks when you put the gears back on. Both dots have to face each other.

What are the biggest tires I can fit on a 97 Chevy full size pickup witha 3 inch body lift??

You replaced the timming chain but you didn't put it back at the right spot now you engine's timming is all off..when you took the chain and put it on .the two sprokets have dots one them and they should either be lined up facing each other or on some models both of them be at 12o'clock.another thing you can try is getting a timming light and turning the whole distributor shaft till your timmins is back on track..also before doing any of these things make sure that your spark plug wires are on the proper spark plugs...

What year of a Civic?

Most likely a timing issue. There are marks on the camshaft as previously mentioned... Could also be the distributor has jumped a tooth and is out of time. I also always marvel at my buddy: He works faster, but my car ends up running in the same amount of time - I only take off one plug wire at a time; he always takes them all off at once, and then has to build the translation table between piston position and firing order and which way the distributor spins. yeesh.

Is the eagle a car that has zero clearance? If you 'replaced' it ie, regular, scheduled maintenance this won't apply. However, if it broke and then you 'replaced' it... When a timing belt breaks, and there is zero clearance between the pistons and the valves - the camshaft quits spinning, leaving some valves (intake on some cylinders, exhaust on others, both on some) extended into the cylinder - but the pistons keep moving. Beats the crap out of the valves.
