Personally I bet it is your driving technique. Get another driver to give it a go to see if it is just you bunny-hopping. Try to release the clutch slowly a few times till you learn where the "engage" point is. Apply gentle acceleration whilst continuing to release the clutch slowly.

The range of possibilities go from mounts in the engine compartment to (depending on year) pirate air entering
after the air flow meter(unmetered air) which will cause a jerk on take off.the front and rear traversing mounts may well be the problem or the brackets that hold them to the eng/trans may also create this prob... the clutch is unlikely and would exhibit the jerk in other gears as well i.e.2nd 3rd
