Question:
I have had a set of keys stolen for my vectra and now i'm concerned that somebody may steal it. Is there anything i could do to prevent those keys and the remote fob being used. I have an identical set which were'nt stolen. Iv'e been told you could reprogram the fob but would this be enough to stop the original being used as well. Please help...

Does anybody know were i can get a radiator?
The only way to prevent the keys being used to open the car is to change the locks - expensive, but may covered under your insurance (possibly your home insurance, if your keys were stolen from your home). The fob is easier - the car is programmed to recognise the fob, not the other way round. Therefore all you have to do is take the car to a Vauxhall dealer, and get it programmed to recognise the fob you have, but not the one that was stolen. This may require programming it to recognise another fob, but the dealer should have one they can use for this purpose, even if you don't buy a new fob.
i had the same problem but unfortunately for me i didn't have a spare set. take your car to the dealers and they should be able to re-program it with another key code. good luck
