I just got a 2003 Ford Mustang...?

it has 50k on it, black, convertible. I know NOTHING about maintaining a car, so I wanna know what I can do to keep this thing running. It's my baby, already... less than 24 hours, but yes, it is.

Oil changes, dont let the gas gauge go to E before you decide to put more gas in it..get a tune up whenever its needed, keep it clean, dont let anyone else drive it, say hi to me, make sure you have the tires rotated etc every so many miles, and last but not least, stay pretty.

I've asked this before and i'll ask again, can a 1980 corvette v8 outrun a 2007 cobalt ss (in accelaration)

Regular maintenance, ie, an oil change every 3000 miles, replace the air filter every 12k or so depending on your enviroment will keep your baby happy. You didn't mention if it's a GT or V6 or the year, but either way following the recommended service program from Ford will keep it running well after 100k miles. Take it to an "auto oil changer" , the drive in service places. They do an o.k. job.

I'll assume you had an automatic transmission, if so...check the auto tranny fluid (which is red in color) level and all other fluid levels (brake, oil, coolant).

Just add brake fluid, oil, transmission fluid, or antifreeze (coolant) if the levels get past the low mark.

Check the battery too, since it's got 50K on her....if there's any white corrosion on the positive/negative terminals, you can easily clean them with an old toothbrush and a alkaline solution made up of warm water and baking soda (and then lightly rinse off), This will clear up any corrosion and ensure a good battery connection.

does anybody know where I can download a 2003 Mercedes c230 or one that is similar to this model owners manual

The good thing about the 3.8 v6 in the mustangs is they have a nice amount of power for such little upkeep. The 2 main things to keep up on are Oil change (every 3,000 miles), and rotating the tires (every 3,000-5,000 miles). Beyond that your part is easy when you fill up on gas pop the hood and check the oil level, coolant resevior, brake master cylinder, and power steering fluid. When you get your cars oil changed, if you go to a place like goodyear, firestone, jiffy lube, speedee oil, any of these they should automaticly check your filters, fluids, belts and hoses as well for no extra cost. When you rotate your tires they should check the proper pressure, usually balance and sometimes visual inspect the brakes at no cost also. If you at anytime arent sure about anything you see feel free to stop by one of the shops listed above and someone should be able to take a look at your fluids or pressure for little to no charge. Also just to let you know dealerships overcharge for most everything and usually recommend stuff that might not be needed due to the mechanics working on flat rate most of the time.

Can I change the door catch mechanism on my car myself?

Enjoy your car, I've owned 2 mustangs and they were fun cars!

Can anybody tell me, where is the location of the inner fuse box of a Hyundai Matrix?

Edit: Also to be safe keep records of all work you do to the car from the oil changes to the rotations. If you ever run into any problems, reciepts are always good to have.

whats the differnece between a imprezza 2.0 sport and a 2.0 turbo?

congrats on the new car. they are great cars. just do as everyone else has been saying. oil change every 3k miles and air filters and wash it keep the inside clean. DO NOT use armorall. it will dry out your dash. i own a car detail business. the best you can use and last the longest is eagle one and macquires. the 3.8 is a good motor. just beware of the vapor locking. when it gets hot outside the 3.8 has a tendancy to vapor lock. but other than that. its a good grocery getter. when you are ready for a REAL muscle/sports car, get a Corvette. good luck and congrats with the new ride

1993 jeep grand cherokee tires..?

Hi , congratulations on getting your mustang. I have a 2004 and a 1988. As far as maintaining it, I suggest you have the oil changed every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. Don't know what your inspection guidelines are but in addition to these , have your antifreeze flushed and filled every other year. This should keep the cooling system in good and reliable shape. This should also help with the heater core. I had to replace mine in the '88 . Quoted cost for repair was $ 600 to $ 800 depending who did it. I chose to do it myself. It's a job where you have to remove about 125 screws/torx nuts and not break any plastic while disconnecting gauges , trim panels , center console, etc. Don't think it will be any cheaper in the newer body styles either. In closing, preventive maintenance is the best action in keeping your car in good, safe operating condition. Good luck and take care.
