you need to find the radio code. if you don't have the code you will have to remove the radio from the dash and get the # off of the side of the radio. once you get the # off the side of the radio you can call the vw dealer and give them that # and the vin # and they will give you the 4 digit code.

sometimes the code is in the trunk, taped to a label right next to the spare tire. sometimes its on the radio itself. sometimes its in the owners manual on a card. sometimes you have to call the dealer with the vin. its a 4 digit code. if you find the code, turn the radio on, it will go to safe, then 1000. use the first 4 buttons, radio presets, to scroll up or down to make it say the code you have. then press scan button; should go to a preset fm station.
