On your XJ if you are just trying to get by cheap, you could do lift blocks in the rear. However the downside is that the extra leverage will make it easier for the springs to wrap, which means you will wear out leaf springs quicker.IS a 1990 nissan skyline a girls car or a boys car?
However in the front, since its coil springs, you'd have to use a coil spacer, or new springs. If you use the nice coil spring spacers which are typically $50 for the pair, theres no real downside to these.
However, why even bother going that route:

You hould never use lift blocks on the front. They fail and you loose steering control. On the back, and if they are not to big, then it's okay.Whats the differences a 12 bolt truck rear end and a 12 bolt car rear end?
WELLLL What you have heard is partially true. If you have leaf springs and a solid front axle then liftblocks for the front end are 1,000,000% OFF LIMITS!! BUT With your vehicle I believe you have a coilspring front suspension. This suspension will allow the use of liftblocks as the axles front/rear suspsension is locked solidly by the 4-link arms and spitting a block out will cause you to just lose the lift. With leafs spitting a block our of the front will allow the axle to move front to back, causing a total loss of steering capabilities resulting in a crash.Back in '94, was there a Plymouth Duster sedan? This car was made probably a for a short time.?
Hi there. I'm a CJ guy, so I have no experience with XJ rigs. I can't give you detailed advice on what to do, however, lift blocks are ALWAYS a bad idea. A serious Jeep builder would NEVER use them. If you do, you'll end up taking them off eventually, and doing it right, having wasted the money and the time that you spent on the block set-up. Pose your question on the forum that I gave you a link to down below, or search their old question index for the info. They'll not only tell you what and why, but they'll steer you in the right direction product-wise. These folks are friendly and knowledgeable. Tell 'em "jeepfun4u2" sent you.
