I'd say it's the altitude man. I've been a big diesel fan for years, and what is happening is that the air is less dense the higher the altitude you get to. Less air density means fewer air molecules per volume of air. The turbo stuffs more air into your engine giving it the ability to burn more fuel, but there isn't much the thing can do about air density, I hate to say it, but it's a problem you're just gonna have to suffer through. And as far as the one gentleman's answer, that it's a Ford. Any vehicle will suffer these same problems at this altitude. You're truck's fine, don't worry, just kick it down a gear and let her sing, she'll keep pulling for ya.
