2002 Trailblazer LTZ 4x4 question...?

If the noise gets louder when you increase rpm's it could be a connecting rod knock. Since you changed oil, make sure you are getting oil to the lifters, by checking your oil pressure. I hope this helps.

How can i make a 2002 v6 mustang have a more aggressive sound?

Either sounds like you have bitched the motor or the motor has a cracked exhaust manifold or donut seal. Hard to say without hearing it, but if you are changing the oil when it is really dirty you have asked for and been given the reason you can't wait that long. The new motors run with a ton of aluminum in them and do not work with dirty oil. You should be changing the oil every 4000 Kms. To properly diagnose, run motor at idle or wherever the noise is loudest and listen for the noise to determine top end or bottom end noise. Do this using a long screwdriver touching the motor and the other end you stick your ear on as it transmits the noise in the exact area. Keep touching around the motor to where the noise is the loudest and that is your problem. Be careful when doing this as there are moving parts about. Once the noise is located, take her apart and find what exactly you have damaged and go from there. Good luck.

What are Ford FE Heads, Casting # C5AE-F.?

Could be a timing chain tick. 2.2L & 2.4L are notorious for it if you let the oil get too dirty or if you have to replace the water pump & don't replace the timing chain with it. If that is your problem, be sure that you replace the timing chain, tensioner, & shoe. Get the tensioner from a dealership, as GM has updated it & the new design is a dealer item only.
Start the car, pop the hood, & listen closely to the right side of the engine (behind the wheel)..if the noise is loudest there, then that is your problem, Good Luck!
