Why are there no small or mid size diesel pickup trucks on the market?

you need the repair manual, you can use any of them that cover the 4 cylinder Ford from the 80s, new ones at parts stores or used ones at a used book store. If it ran ok before you changed the belt, then thats what it is.

Can Anyone tell me why my Mitsubishi Eclipse locks itself?

There are marks on the cam and the crank for the replacement of the belt. If you are off by one tooth, it will do what you are desribing. the notch has to be PRECISE, turning the crank by hand 2X and re examined BEFORE starting. Examine with a mirror if you cannot see it with the naked eye straight on. If it ran good before the belt replacement, it should not be fuel related. I am sure you are off by a tooth or 2.

Can anyone supply information on converting a 1987 s10 truck 4.5 liter (4 cyl) to a v6?

i own a repair shop, and was it running good before you replaced the belt or the same, also was you having any problems from it,if you have done all the tune up stuff its possible there is a fuel problem with it or there may be something that got left off of it,also you need to check the timing with a light to see if its firing when it should and if its close to the factory mark, this can cause it to run badly if its more than 2 degrees off,it makes a big difference in them, you can check all of this at least it will be a good starting point on it,good luck hope this helps.

I have a 84' Buick regal 3.8 stock. Wondering what can i do to get a little more power out of it?

If I remember, on that old 2.3 mustang.. all of the timing gears had to be set right not just cam and crank due to if not the distributor may be off (It still may be off if someone messed with it before and restabbed it in, it may now be off inside the distributor even if set right in the timing area)

IF after a belt change it doesn't rev up but before it was good... I'd look at ignition and timing belt timing issues first..sorry.. only after that would I look at fuel.

The thought that the belt might be off a notch or two is solid thinking. One other thing that can be a problem with these engines is something I encountered on a road trip to Boston one time in my Thunderbird turbo coupe. I blew the timing belt on the Mass turnpike and had to have the car towed to a Ford dealership in Boston. Not good. They replaced the timing belt and I figured all was well. The rest of that trip the car just didn't have the power it used to. When I got back home to Nova Scotia, I went to my local dealer who discovered that the timing was set wrong. If memory serves (this was over 10 years ago) there was something about disconnecting the vacuum advance before setting the timing that the dealer in Boston didn't do. When I had the timing reset at home, I was back to full power. Check into that with a tech you trust at Ford. My local guy told me it was a common mistake because most vehicles don't require this trick.
