Ford windstar died?

Question:
my van died on the way home, it just lost power and quit. when I tried to start it, it would crank fine but would not start. After towing it home I turned the key a few times to see if the fuel pump was cycling, and it was. tried to start it right away and it started. Any Ideas what could be causing this? please help, i don't really want to spend $150 on a new fuel pump.

possible bad distributor, bad dist. cap or rotor. my dist. went bad and it would let the car run for 20 mins and then die. car wouldnt start until it cooled down. turned out bearing shot on distributor. i kind of doubt anyone can diagnose this without seeing it. its gonna cost u seventy five bucks to get it diagnosed.
