Question:
I got this car not running, the owners claiming it was a good car, but just that the timing chain went on it. So I got it running, and went to drain the oil and it was mirkey. Could it be that the engine accumulated moisture for 3 months in a cold garage to a point that the engine oil shows it? I think it's possible. The engine pan was open for that time while I waited for a chance to replace the chain.
And, I don't remember the oil that came from the engine originally being mirky white either. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Vince

I had the same thing happen with a Ford Escort and ,yes, it was condensation from the garage going from hot to cold with a lot of rain falling in between Like ya said Vince ,it wasn't that way when ya drained itDoes Dodge truck actually have transmission problem?
Not likely would that much moisture be in there just sitting, you may try a compression check, sounds like a head gasket is gone. Good luck.Rear valance on the new CHARGER??
if your oil is milky then your most likely leaking coolent into it somewhere. most likely either a blown head gasket or a cracked head or block... i doubt its just from sittingSounds like a leaking head gasket. Hope you got a warranty. This will likely be an expensive fix. $250 plus.
How much gas money can I expect to spend on a 07 civic si a week?
Best thing to do if now running is to pressure check the coolant system for leaks. Those engines are notorious for head gaskets unseating, causing small leak to the crankcase. The tool can be rented from most auto parts stores, also you should remove the spark plugs to help with the test. You will need the tool for about four hours: fill the radiator and coolant system; pressurize system to about 15psi; watch guage and maintain pressure, if pressure cannot be maintained ,check for exterior leaks and repair, then check for coolant in cylinders and oil crankcase. If so must remove cylinder head to check head for cracks and for damaged gasket, also inspect cylinder walls to be sureMore Questions & Answers ...
