Hi Cookie it sounds as if your battery is flat the clicking noise you hear is the starter solenoid. The fact you can jump start it means there is nothing very much wrong with your Audi.First check your battery connections are they corroded if so clean them.If that does not work take it to any decent garage and get them to test your battery and your alternator charge rate.At 1800 rpm you should get from 13.5volts to a max of 15.5 volts.Hope this helps enjoy your Audi Mick UK own and work on Audi's.Lift kit for my honda rancher 4x4?
auto zone tells you exactly whats wrong with it , but i also think it would be the alternator or batteryAny auto shop can do the work. Of course since it is an older Audi, the parts may cost you a bit in the states. The problem is the alternator. Your car is coming to an age where you will start to have a few problems, but nothing that is major or expensive. Your fuel pump will go out soon (no biggie) and your odometer will stop working around 250-300km (15600-180000 miles). But fear not, this car will run nearly forever.
