I have a 2005 GT Hyundai Tiburon and I am thinking about supercharging or doing some modifications? What does this entail? How much would it cost to make it have more horsepower and a great sound? Physically, I like the styling, but just curious about my obtions. I am a female with no experience in this so any recommendations welcome.

Jaden got it right, don't waste your money on this car. Sell it and get something faster like a Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro or others. But if you must try get yourself a K & N air filter or a cold air intake, then go to a muffler shop and tell them to put on a free flowing exhaust system. I wouldn't modify a Tiburon. It's gonna cost you a lot. Just buy one that is already installed. You will lose your money, and you have to pay someone to do it. Buy an evo or subaru imprezas. This will give you at least 50 % more horse power, but it will avoid your warrenty. it will shorten the life of your engine as well.If you are looking for that great sound, you can get custom mufffler system. Good luck with your venture into the world of vehicle modifications, let me put it to you this way, The second you modify anything on ANY car it WILL start trouble left and right, the second you modify a car , is the second it starts to break.
You will void your warranty. Change the exhaust to get better sound and bump a couple hp. It's cheaper and you won't mess with that 10/100K.

I know you can get an Alpine Supercharger and their base goes for about $2500, but more powerful models come close to $4500, and of course you will need supporting mods, such as intake, exhaust, fuel management system, etc.
If its just a little performance and a nice sound, i would highly reccomend a borla catback exhaust system (typically about 4-500 and it gives the car a nice low rumble, but it isnt too loud where it is annoying) and an Injen cold air intake (about $200). The car will sound really mean and will perform much better with just these 2 mods.
