What do you need to chage the front end of a 1993 Nissan 240sx to a "97" S14 Kouki?
One of the cylinder is misfiring or completely dead due low compression or valve too tight.May be the port of idle sinoloid is quiet clogged or the sinoloid it self is not working.
- WEAK IGNITION PART OR VERY BAD(Bad spark plugs, distributor rotor, distributor cap, weak spark plug wire.)
- Engine vacuum leak( may be at intake manifold, carburetor base gasket. vacuum hose)
- ignition distributor may be is wobbling and cause one of the cylinder misfire during idle
- Check your air filter if it's completely clogged.
-Check the float level of the carburetor
- Carburetor is not adjusted properly.( too lean)
- Valve need to be adjusted( if the lifter are not hydraulic)
- Basic timing needs to be corrected.
- Ignition timing needs to be checked with a timing light.
- The fuel may be contaminated with water or sugar.
Before you make any attempt to tackle this problem.
First, you should run a compression test , to see if your engine has an adequate amount of compression.
Note: All the above are possibilities can cause engine run rough or has poor performance.
