Will my transmission in my 84 D-150 still work?

i own a repair shop and after driving and working on a few of each type of cars id have to say the Nissan is a lot better, here lately Toyota has let their quality drop a little, and it has shown up in their sales also but Nissan has always built a good reliable car,and will continue to do so,you really don't notice much difference in them until you have to work on them, then that's where the difference really comes in at,but id choose a good Nissan any day over a Toyota, good luck,i hope this helps.

Audi '01 1.8T a4 versus '00 trans am?

Definitely don't by an American car, terrible in almost every aspect. Toyotas are usually more reliable, but Nissans are good in acceleration and probably handle better, and Nissans are famous for their excellent transmissions (therefore good acceleration). Many Nissans are reliable (except for the Armada, Quest, and Titan) too, just check Consumer Reports. No matter what, they are more reliable than American cars.
