Question:
I have a 93 Cherokee with the 4.0 and I want to get a little more HP out of it, how can I do this without having to spend the big bucks on turbo or super chargers??

Pontiac G5 Supercharger + Cold Air Intake?
My 95 cherokee 2wd 5spd would do a 0-60 in under 8.0 , if i had a possi it would have been maybe a low 7 sec consistantly,, anyway#1 K&N intake,
2 Get some decent spark plugs,, like something with a Vtip
3 I had a throttle body spacer(maybe .2hp) a little more torque
4 i usually ran middle grade gas at least.
5. FLOWMASTER 40's Muffler
6. MY catalytic convertor was gutted out
MY zeros to sixties were verified by Gtech thingy(yes it really works)
The rest are other things you can try
7 If you have an automatic a Chip would be best bet to reprogram shift curve, Chips benefit auto's more then manuals
8. Like someone else said tire pressure
9 Keep transmission fluid clean especially if automatic
10 use synthetic in differentials
11 Once again CLEAN PLUGS
12 Good cap and wires
13 A header
14 Add some 3:73's and a posi(i always wanted to try it)
15 Dont have BIG Tires maybe keep stock 235 75 15's or 225
16 Roller rollers and a small cam( may have to get custom ship to reprogram timing and Etc)
However remember it is a cherokee not a race car they dont like 5000 rpm much.
Good luck
OH 2drs are lighter thus quicker and dont drive with accessories on while racing

How much would you pay for a 2004 volvo s60 2.5t?
All of these are quite inexpensive (except for exhaust) take a look on Ebay, you will be surprised! Also, go to Dodgetalk.com and look around, there is some good info in there. I have been using that site for 3 years for info on my Dodge/Mopar products.

Don't fall for these snake-oil tricks:-Vortex effect air cleaner inserts. They're trash.
-Horsepower boosting fuel additives. Not worth the cost.
-Magnets on the fuel line. Total BS.
My kid has a 1996 chevy lumian 4 door sedan.?
Good ways to get more horsepower for cheap/free:
-Keep your tires at their max pressure. Less rolling resistance equates to more effective horsepower.
-Get a K&N air filter or keep your stock filter clean. Bang it out once in a while. The K&N filter keeps most of its airflow even when nearly fully dirty, unlike paper filters.
-Don't carry things in the car with you that you don't need. Not a big deal, but it effects efficiency and handling.
Should I worry about SRS warning light that came on in my C230 Mercedes Benz?
Biggest thing you can do without getting into heavy mechanics:
Rechip the engine. It'll set you back a couple of bills, but it'll make the engine work somewhat differently and you'll get a horsepower boost. There's a lot of garbage chips out there, so be sure to stick with name brands or you could wind up with a useless product, or worse: a trashed engine or computer. http://www.savannajones.com/products/pro...
Does anyone know where i can buy a lime green beetle fairly new for a good price?
As mentioned above a chip is a good way to get more HP. Another way is to use a cold air induction kit, throttle body spacer, and exhaust combination. All three together will boost your power. They really don't work well alone. If you do get a chip you may need to get intake and exhaust to get the most from the chip. How do i know if my distributor is broken?
Best thing to do is go to a website called NAXJA... North American XJ Assoc. They are a website dedicated to Cherokees and everything you can do to them. Look in the stock section under the newbie sticky and you should find your answer.I personally use a throttle body spacer, K&N cone filter w/ adapter and a high flow cat back exhaust system. Picked up about 20 more HP or so, but it is really noticable when I have the AC on and get on the gas. It does not lag like it used to before I changed all that stuff.
