Question:
Does anyone know if a 94 stang motor will fit a 97 F150?? Was told that motor was a 4.6 but haven't been able to locate block numbers to verify. Man. date on valve cover is 93. Intake number comes back 5.0 but truck intake fits??? Where would block number be located. There is nothing under heads or under intake. Tranny is still hooked up. Can anyone help. Thanks

Which would you prefer, a CORVETTE or a MUSTANG and why?
A '94 Mustang engine is either a 3.8L V6, or a 5.0L V8 NON-OBD II electronically controlled. So the answer is NO. At least not without more work than it's worth. You'll need to locate a 4.6L equipped with NON-power improved heads for your application, in order to make it a straight bolt-in.Exhaust Shopping for 92 Civic Si?
I am pretty sure (99.99%) the 94s came with a standard Windsor 5.0, also known as a 302. If it looks the same as your motor, then it will fit. the 5.0 and the 4.6 are not even close to looking the same, as the 5.0 has skinny valve covers and the 4.6 covers are about 2-3 times as wide. The big issue is if your truck is a 302 or a 351W. When you say the truck intake fits it, that leads me to believe that your truck came with a 302 since the 302 and 351 shared many parts, but one thing they did not share was the lower intake. If your truck is a 4.6, and the replacement motor looks the same, then I would have to say that the motor did not come out of a 94 Mustang since they didn't change over to the 4.6 in the stangs until 96.Best headers for a small block chevy??
the wide engine is the 4.6 and the narrow one a 5.0 :)which is a better car?Nissan 350z or Saturn Sky?
You got some good advice from the other answers but keep this in mind too - if you do go ahead with an engine swap make sure that your PCM is correct. The computer is only built to run one model of engine and the 4.6L PCM will not run a 5.0 properly. IF you swap for an old motor, you're going to have to change harnesses and PCM's too.More Questions & Answers ...
