More powe out of my 1999 dodge dakota 3.9L v6?

Question:
i have a 1999 dodge dakota 3.9L v6. the mods i have for it so far are only a cold air intake and dual exhaust. what can i do to get more power out of it and where can i find these? i'm thinking about a 3.90 or a 4.10 gear ratio also. what else can i do to pump more juice out of it and get that acceleration up?

Diesel Yaris?

well its a V-6 and no matter what you do it will still be slower than a V-8 with the same mods. better to just get a new truck. the new 08 dakota is comming out with a new 4.7 V-8 that will push 290 HP and 320 tourqe. compared to 230 HP and 290 tourqe of the older 4.7

infiniti g35?

other than that you would be wasting your money on mods on a truck that will never get what your looking for. you want a V-8 and that V-6 will never be that V-8

Is it better to have a wider wheel for your tire if you are gonna rock crawl your truck?

You already did the 2 cheapest things to start with, now everything else will be expensive. The rearend gear change is a good idea.
On the dual exhaust what mufflers are you running? I would go with a high flow catalytic converter off of ebay (Magnaflow) and a Flowmaster 40 series muffler.

What is the best oil for a 1991 Eclipse GSX with turbo? (Please say which brand and type)?

There might be an engine controller that you can buy that will up the ignition timing and fuel mixture. The local Dodge dealer might have a performance book that will list one for your Dakota. Mind you now, that will increase the fuel consumption, but only during the times you have your foot on the floor. You might get better mileage during normal driving. If you change the axle ratio, it will use more gas ALL the time.
When you went to dual exhaust did you get two high flow catalyst convertors? If not, that is one major restriction in getting out the exhaust gases. Be certain the mufflers are also high flow types or you aren't getting the most from them.

What auto maker imported its first model into the U.S. in 1958 and sold only 52 here? What was the model numb

If your Dakota has the distributor that can be adusted you can bump the timing two degrees earlier than the factory sticker and notice considerable increase in power, but be careful to listen for pre ignition knock which can damage the engine. Newer Dodges have an electronic timing sensor built into the "brain" that cannot be adjusted. Can't remember which year made the switch.

has anyone ever had any experiences with a GMC SIERRA PICKUP WITH QUADRASTEER AWD......off road in soft sand?

the v-8 throttle body is a waste of money it's practically the same thing if not the same. If you want to add some horsepower you need to change your cam. go to http://dodgetruckworld.tenmagazines.com/...
someone under the forums will be able to give you a hand.

If it runs - you are getting more than one could expect. Be thankful.
